Neo-classical Georgian refurbishment

This neo-classical Georgian house is situated at the end of a quiet county lane on the outskirts of Haslemere. Whilst the structure of the house was sound the client wished to modernise the existing internal rooms and open up the double height hallway with natural light. The kitchen and former ballroom were transformed into a stunning vaulted open-plan kitchen and casual family dining. Large windows spanning the ridge line of this structure allow natural light to flood this spacious room. This wing of the house is heated underfoot and also benefits from a beautiful dual-aspect glass fronted gas fire which is enjoyed from both the family snug and kitchen.

We worked closely with the Cotswold based interior designer, Camilla Bellord Interiors, to create a holistic design aesthetic throughout the house that included bespoke joinery in almost all the rooms. The reception room drinks cabinet, concealed behind panelling, is a high-light of the carpentry alongside the construction of a large boot room, housing a magnitude of various sporting equipment, a master dressing room and climate-controlled wine cellar.

In order to bring the house up to date we carried out a full rewire, installing a state-of-the-art Reiko lighting system reaching out into the garden. The house now boasts a pressurised heating system with instant hot water in all the newly renovated bathrooms.
