Nestled next to Charterhouse School our client and his family wanted a home that was conveniently located. This town house was built in the early 1980s and many of those features remained. Working closely with Dove House Interiors their new home was given a full make over. But, before the girls could get their creative juices flowing, we replaced all the windows on the back of the house, changed the internal and external doors and lifted floors to remove the bounce and add layers of much needed insulation.
A number of the dated features were removed, such as the existing gas fire place and replaced with a delightful gas log burner. An elegant Juliet balcony was added to the master bedroom which had the added benefit of allowing light to flood into the kitchen through the window below.
We used a local joiner to create a bespoke ground floor study and walk-in dressing room, all hand painted onsite. New bathrooms throughout with the addition of completely updating all the pipework and moving tanks into the loft to create valuable storage space.
