Our clients wanted an area that was family-focused but also luxurious enough to entertain and host friends. The area was therefore designed to suit the whole family with space for the children to play and an entertainment area with multi media, for watching the summer sporting events. The client also required practical space for bikes, the plant room and a workshop. With the purchase of a pizza oven, the family love to spend time by the pool with the children and entertaining.
We demolished a tired stable block to make space for this oak frame structure. Led by the beautiful design of the house we matched the roof tiles and found sympathetic ridge tiles. The room is decorated in a muted palette of grey and blue that feels both timeless and elegant. So the building can be used all year, we have incorporated underfloor heating and a log burner.
Key features include bespoke kitchen joinery with a porcelain worktop and large bi-folding doors which can open fully in the summer to create an outside room.
